When our rescue officers rushed to her rescue, little did they know about the horrors Carmen had suffered. 

 

They found her helplessly lying on the ground, her leg ripped away after she had been caught in a snare trap meant for wild animals. 

 

Upon arrival at our hospital. further examination revealed Carmen had been shot not one but 15 times on separate occasions - a testament to the hardship she must have endured throughout her life.

Thanks to you, Carmen received the urgent veterinary care she needed to survive and amputation surgery for her injured leg. 

 

She is currently recovering in our hospital, and she will need continued medical treatment and specialised behavioural support to heal her emotional scars.
